ID.2REC rec/stop button for dual recorders

Description

I got a request to make a record & stop button for two simultaneous recorders for backup/redundant/high ch count purposes, so here it is.

Unit plugs into 8 series or Mixpre USB A port, no setup required

Buttons are high quality non-clicky nerd-style keyboard switches.

I’ve built in a safety mechanism, so buttons can’t be accidentally bumped. 0.5 sec long press will trigger the commands, a short press won’t

Q: Does it work with MixPre?
A: Yes

Q: Does it work together with external controllers?
A: Yes, with a USB hub

Q: What’s the build quality like?
A: This is a 3d printed device made by hand in my basement when the kids were asleep. It’s not the premium alu stuff we’re used to, so please take a look at the high res photos, and decide for yourself.

Q: What cable do I need
A: A regular USB C to A data cable for each recorder
